East Herts Council Response

15 October 2018

Thank you for your request for information, this has now been processed and the information that we hold is enclosed.

We take a flexible approach to those staff who need to take part in religious observance (e.g. to pray) during the working day (e.g. during their lunch break) as part of their religious beliefs.  The specific arrangements agreed with the member of staff would depend on the individual circumstances and the business need but we would be as flexible as possible to ensure that specific groups are not disadvantaged compared to other staff.  Staff would have to do this in their own time and would be required to record it as time out on their flexi sheet.

If you have any queries or complaint about the processing of your request please do not hesitate to contact me.
