I am writing to acknowledge your written request for information.

Your request is being considered and you will receive the information requested within the statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Freedom of Information Act 2000, subject to the information not being exempt or containing reference to a third party.

d.2018 – information is not recorded for the period 1st January 2018 to 2nd
 April 2018
Between 3rd April 2018 and 13th November 2018, 29 households that presented as homeless disclosed that they were in receipt of Housing Benefit.  In addition, one household disclosed that they were in receipt of Universal Credit which may include an element for housing costs.  Fourteen households did not disclose whether or not they were in receipt of Housing Benefit and 74 households were not in receipt of benefits.

i.                     housing association tenants – 3 (I general needs and 2 in supported accommodation)
ii.                   private tenants  - 18
iii.                 local authority tenants - 1


3.       If the council has housing stock, how many of its tenants evicted since November 2015 were in receipt of Housing Benefit at the time they were evicted
We are not a stock holding authority


4.       If the council has housing stock, how many of its tenants are claiming Housing Benefit as of 06/11/18
