East Herts Council Response

07 December 2018

Thank you for your request for information, this has now been processed and the information that we hold is enclosed.

We do not  differentiate in any way between residential and commercial searches, so there is no way of telling how many of each we carried out other than by manually checking the addresses of every search logged in that twelve month period, which would be in excess of the 18 hours required by the FOIA.  However, we can respond for the total number of joint LLC1 plus CON29 searches as follows:-

Combined residential and commercial standard searches (LLC1 + CON29) undertaken between 1st November 2017 and 31st October 2018 was 2220

Total fee charged for this service was £235522.83 – however the amount of income generated should be negligible as the searches are cost-neutral

Average turnaround time between 1st April 2018 and 1st November 2018 for standard searches was 8 – 10 working days.

If you have any queries or complaint about the processing of your request please do not hesitate to contact me.
