Thank you for your request for information, this has now been processed and the information that we hold is enclosed.

No we have not had any complaints regarding the signage.  One motorist was alleged to have turned the repeater sign around to try to avoid paying a PCN.

This is a repeater sign and all drivers who park at this location would have passed the restricted zone entry signs to advise them of the restriction and therefore even if the repeater sign had been turned round this would not have affected the enforcement of any PCNs issued in this restricted zone..

If you have any queries or complaint about the processing of your request please do not hesitate to contact me.

Dear Madam\Sir

Thank you for your email reply.

Can you explain how would it possible for a motorist to know what the parking restriction is if the restricted parking sign was deliberately turned facing the wall and not visible at the time of parking.

If such signage can easily be vandalised then should the council not take robust measures to ensure that the no one is able to temper with it by making it secure and not moveable, thus preventing innocent motorists from receiving a PCN?

Do you have a cctv camera on the street facing the restricted signage?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely
Reshma
