I would like to request the following information under the Freedom of Information act:

 

  1. Do you have any plans to expand the number of dedicated Blue Badge parking spaces in your local authority area?
  2. The current number of dedicated Blue Badge parking spaces in your local authority area
  3. The current number of Blue Badge holders registered in your local authority area
  4. The number of drivers who have received a fine for misusing a disabled parking bay in your local authority area (broken down by month for the years 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 to date)
  5. The new eligibility criteria for Blue Badge holders in your local authority, following the announcement of the expansion of the scheme to include invisible medical conditions announced in June 2019.

I am writing to acknowledge your written request for information.

Your request is being considered and you will receive the information requested within the statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Freedom of Information Act 2000, subject to the information not being exempt or containing reference to a third party.

The Act defines a number of exemptions, which may prevent release of the information you have requested.  There will be an assessment of your request and if any of the exemption categories apply then the information will not be released.  You will be informed if this is the case, including your rights of appeal.

There may be a fee payable for this information, this will be considered and you will be informed if any fees are payable.  In this event the fee must be paid before the information is processed and released.  The 20 working day time limit for the response is suspended until receipt of payment.

Answer: No

Answer: We do not hold this information.
3.The current number of Blue Badge holders registered in your local authority area

Answer: We do not hold this information as Blue Badges are not issued by East Herts Council.
4.The number of drivers who have received a fine for misusing a disabled parking bay in your local authority area (broken down by month for the years 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 to date)

Answer: This specific information is not available due to the various reasons and scenarios, linked to case system classification and recording of data, as to why a Penalty Charge Notice might be issued in connection with Blue Badge Bays.

Answer: We do not issues Blue Badges therefore this information is not available.
