2: Does your authority have a Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Need Assessment for new pitches?

Yes, the Council does have an Accommodation Needs Assessment in place.  The latest version is the ‘East Herts Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople Accommodation Needs Assessment Update May 2016 (ANA)’.  This can be viewed at: https://www.eastherts.gov.uk/media/30981/The-Gypsies-and-Travellers-and-Travelling-Showpeople-Accommodation-Needs-Assessment-Update/PDF/HOP.005_East_Herts_Gypsy__Traveller_and_Travelling_Showpeople_Accommodation_Needs_Assessment_Update_.pdf .

3: What is the need identified by your authority’s Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Need Assessment for new pitches, and what period does this GTANA cover?

The need identified in the ANA is shown in the table as follows:

However, please note that the Council has since revised the figure in the 2016-2022 column from 2 pitches (as shown in the published ANA) to 6, to reflect the fact that 4 additional unauthorised pitches which should have been included in the 2016 report had been omitted.  Therefore, the figure that the Council is working to is 6 in that time period, and 9 pitches overall to 2033, as follows:
