Customer Request Details

23 November 2020

I would like to request a Freedom of Information request from your council.

We are looking to understand how much the council has budgeted to spend and invest in sustainability this financial year

East Herts Council Response

27 November 2020

After consideration of your request I am writing to you to advise that the Council are not obliged to supply the information you have requested.

The Council has decided that the cost to locate, retrieve and extract the information you requested exceeds the appropriate limit as laid down in the Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004.

We do not analyse separately expenditure on environmental and sustainability aspects of capital or revenue schemes as these aspects are built into the projects.  As we do not analyse our financial information to identify the sustainability or environmental aspects,  re-analysing all the information would exceed the appropriate cost limit under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act as we estimate it would take more than 18 hours to research and compile this new information.

In accor***** with Section 17 of the Freedom Of Information Act 2000 this document acts as a Refusal Notice.

If you have a query or complaint about the processing of your request please do not hesitate to contact me.
