·         How often on bins are collected

·         How much (in tonnes) your council recycled in the last full year you have information for

 

·         What percentage of refuse collected by your local authority is recycled (i.e. does not go to landfill)

Thank you for your request for information, this has now been processed and the information that we hold is enclosed.

I wish to request, under the Freedom of Information Act, that you supply me with information on:

·         The amount it costs each time residents wish to use council provided tips

Recycling centres are operated by Herts County Council we do not hold this information

 

·         Your average bin collection rates (success as a percentage)

                        99.93% for 20/21 to date.

 

·         How often on bins are collected

All bins are currently collected fortnightly.

 

·         The average size (in litres) of your bins

The average size of bins is 240 litres

 

·         How much (in tonnes) your council recycled in the last full year you have information for

For 19/20 this was 26,167.31 tonnes of material collected and recycled or composted.

 

·         What percentage of refuse collected by your local authority is recycled (i.e. does not go to landfill)

All waste collected as refuse goes to a transfer station where it goes on to either landfill or energy from waste. Refuse does not go through any further processes once collected.
