East Herts Council Response

07 July 2021

Thank you for your request for information, this has now been processed and the information that we hold is enclosed.

How many planning officers do you currently employ? 16
- How many planning officers did you employ in January 2011? 14
- What is your planning departments current budget? £1.2m
- What was your planning departments budget in January 2011? £1.3m

- What work has your authority undertaken in considering the volume of electric vehicle charging points needed in the district in the next decade?

The Council has not done any specific calculations for the number of public/private chargers required and will be led by government policy as it emerges. Basic roll out of EV chargers is being established in some of the Council’s own car parks to add to private provision. Wider on-street charger policy is the responsibility of Hertfordshire County Council through its Highways authority function.

- How many high streets (as defined by the ONS) are in your district?

There are five high streets in the district: Bishop’s Stortford, Buntingford, Hertford, Stanstead Abbotts and Ware.

If you have any queries or complaint about the processing of your request please do not hesitate to contact me.
