I"m looking to submit an FOI into the number of complaints the council has received relating to landlords or other housing provider since 2019. I"m also keen to find out what the complaints have been about and what the outcomes were - to that end, are complaints recorded at East Herts District Council in separate categories? For example, housing disrepair or harassment?

Thank you for your request for information, this has now been processed and the information that we hold is enclosed.

Complaints are recorded in separate categories however this is typically based on the initial assessment of the complaint by a support officer and further investigation could suggest a different situation. For example a case was logged as disrepair but then became an illegal eviction situation but the original case reference was used to allow all the information on the case to be reviewed together.
